There are just over four weeks to go to submit your business event for this year's Leicester Business Festival.
Anyone can apply to run an event as part of the programme. The theme can be about anything, so long as the event stands to benefit the businesses and people in the region by creating a forum where others can listen, learn, share, engage, network, question or debate.
Â鶹ӰԺ Leicester (Â鶹ӰԺ) is the headline partner for the 2022 Leicester Business Festival, which runs from November 7 to 18.
Closing date for applications is Friday 9 September.
Rob Ricketts, Regional Business Development Manager from Â鶹ӰԺ, said: "Leicester was named the second most entrepreneurial city in the UK (Entrepreneurial Index 2021) and the best city in the East Midlands to live and work (The Good Growth for Cities Index). At Â鶹ӰԺ, we think Leicester has even more to offer. To do this we want to be part of co-creating a distinctive brand for business in Leicester to bring in more investment and attract more talent.
"Leicester Business Festival (LBF) is a great platform for businesses to highlight their initiatives as well as find out what is on offer to support growth. Combined, these events can help build a unique message of business-life in Leicester to drive our area forward.
"A great example of communicating what is special about Leicester is the recently unveiled artwork on St George’s Tower, Europe’s tallest artwork, which combines art, technology and sport as key attributes of our city. If your business has something to shout about, explore if running an event could contribute to the success of LBF."
Another aim of the business festival is to drive interest in Leicester and Leicestershire from an investment, or business development perspective. Events that help to positively place this region in a national and international spotlight are also welcomed.
Scott Knowles, Chief Executive of East Midlands Chamber and LBF partner, said: "I am looking forward to learning more and hearing directly from inspirational local businesses. People from far and wide come to the festival to see what Leicester and Leicestershire has to offer - it really does shine the spotlight on doing business in the area. 89% of businesses involved with the festival over the past seven years have been positively affected by the events.
"It's been great to see so many local firms take what they've learned at the festival and put into positive action."
So far, the businesses partnering with the 2022 festival include headline partner Â鶹ӰԺ, East Midlands Chamber, Brewin Dolphin and Pattersons Commercial Law, British Business Bank, EMBARK CSR, Everards of Leicestershire, Highcross, Mem Saab, and Voluntary Action Leicester (VAL).
Applications to run an event at the festival are open now. The form is simple to complete and available online at: www.leicesterbusinessfestival.com. The number of events is limited so it is important that businesses interested submit their interest as soon as possible - entries will close on 9 September 2022.
