“If we want to live in a world where every trans person can be themselves, we need more organisations to follow Â鶹ӰԺ’s lead in using their voice to create more inclusive communities.”

Chris Hall, Head of Diversity and Equality said: “We fundamentally support the rights of transgender staff and students.

“Our  trans policy at Â鶹ӰԺ very clearly says we respect the rights of trans, non binary and gender fluid people and we will support trans people in living the life which they want to live.

“We support all our staff and students and say ‘as a trans person or a person with a trans background you would be very welcome to come to Â鶹ӰԺ to work or study’.

“We have the commitment to provide a safe place to work and study regardless of your identity and that is something Â鶹ӰԺ is very firm upon,” he continued.

More than 100 companies have joined the campaign with Â鶹ӰԺ, including Disney, Microsoft, Aviva and Sky.

Stonewall was founded in 1989 to break down barriers to equality, working to create a world where every person can be accepted, without exception.
